Accomplished Choral Group

Cabrini Singers in St. Cabrini ShrineThe Cabrini Singers are an accomplished choral group that performs at special liturgies and events at Mother Cabrini High School throughout the year. In addition, the Cabrini Singers have produced a professional CD entitled, "Soon and Very Soon" which includes original pieces composed by Director, Pianist, and Organist Bradley Staubes. The group also performed live in Times Square, and on the NBC Today Show. They have sung for special benefits at Ellis Island and Chelsea Piers and were recognized as semi-finalists at the McDonalds Gospel Choir Contest. The Cabrini Singers perform a yearly Christmas Concert as a gift to the community, and the public is invited.

Membership in The Cabrini Singers

Cabrini Singers prepare for a concertIt is an honor to be chosen as a member of the Cabrini Singers. Each student must audition and will be placed as a soprano, mezzo-soprano or alto. Choir members practice three times per cycle, and students receive 1/2 credit in music for each school year. Songs are performed in Latin, Italian, and Spanish, and styles range from classical liturgical to contemporary. The moderators for the Cabrini Singers are Sister Maryellen Blumlein, SC and Hannelore Wurzinger.
